The girl involved here was at a public event where you can basically go into a tanning bed by putting in a few coins. It’s like a vending machine that deals UV radiation. The beds are supposed to be monitored, but whoever was on duty at the time, well, apparently wasn’t.

In my opinion, the idea of an unmanned tanning booth doesn’t even compute. Of course children are going to be curious about a giant lighted box. What if they get stuck inside and are left with more than just burns? Have you ever seen the film Final Destination 3? Exactly.

The mother should be held accountable in this situation, however. She’s the one who knew about her daughter’s desire to tan.

Actually, come to think of it, I wouldn’t be too surprised if something like that happened here. Don’t parents have any brains?
