Producer of “Farrah’s Story” suing

According to the Associated Press, two days before the documentary “Farrah’s Story,” which shows Farrah Fawcett’s battle with cancer, one of the producers, Craig Nevius, decided to file a lawsuit against against others working on the film. He’s claiming altruistic motives in his suing for creative control, saying that the lawsuit “isn’t against Farrah Fawcett, it’s for Farrah.”

It sure has gotten a lot of press. If it really was meant for her, wouldn’t you think he would have waited until after it was played on Friday to address his grievances…or something other than filing a few days before it was even aired?

“This is not about money or about ego. It’s about Farrah,” Nevius said to Fox News, “And the trust she placed in me to make sure that her voice and message are heard.”

The documentary aired last night on NBC and was certainly heart-wrenching. Fawcett was diagnosed with anal cancer in 2006, had gone into remission and found out earlier this year that it spread to her liver.

It’s definitely a downer, which is why it just seems unnecessary for this man, Nevius, to make a difficult situation all the more difficult.
